Casual OOTD & Antique Autumn Makeup

 

I wore a pretty casual outfit. The vest is thrifted and DIY studded. The feather earrings, I made myself. The top is from Pacsun and my black pants are from Macy's. Shoes are from American Eagle two falls ago. I love the makeup that I created this morning so I decided to do it over again and record it. The tutorial on this look is HERE.

Three Looks From UO Late Fall 2011 Catalog

I got so much inspiration from the Urban Outfitters catalog this season. It is bliss on print. It is pretty amazing. The price point of the items in the catalog are way out of my league. I spotted a maxi dress on one page for over $400! So I decided to try to recreate some of the looks from the catalog using items I already have in my wardrobe.

Fall Trends

These are some of the most wearable fashion trends that will be present this fall according to Glamour magazine. I have some examples of the new trends, some in a high fashion and some is more street style.

My favorite fashion trends for this fall are polka dots and mustard hues. I've always loved the mustard color, I have a mustard coat in my closet waiting to be worn. I never was a big polka dots fan, until recently. I think they are so classic and fun. I like it best when it is navy and white or black and white. I don't think you can go wrong with a touch of polka dots this season. Or go bold and rock a cute little black ( polka dotted ) dress. So cute! Ahhh, goodbye summer. Hello Autumn, Bring me the chilly winds, the beautiful hues, the prime time television, and fall FASHION.

Lemon Cupcakes

These cupcakes are simple to make and absolutely delicious to eat.

 

Makes 24 cupcakes

Preheat oven to 350

• 2 cups of flour
• 1.5 cups of sugar
• 1 teaspoon of salt
• .75 cups of flour
• 1 lemon
• 1 cup of milk
• 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 3 large eggs
• 2 teaspoons of baking powder

Whisk dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add butter, milk, vanilla, and eggs. Beat until blended completely and has a smooth, creamy texture. Add one lemon zest and the juice of one half of the lemon. Beat for one minute on low. Ice cream scoop the batter into muffin liners in a medium size muffin pan. Fill liners 3/4 with batter. Bake for 23 minutes. Let cool. Top with cream cheese frosting.
